Instantaneous and Continuous Gas Water Heater
The flow sensor in this system detects the movements of water when any
hot water tap is opened in the home.
At this point, the stainless steel
burner unit is ignited by an electronic sparker
powered by 2 D-Cell batteries or the hydro-generator powered electronic
sparking system depending on the model chosen.
As water circulates through
the soft copper heat exchanger, the water is "super heated" by
up to 60°F in a mere couple of seconds.
The unit will continue to produce
up to 3.2 gallons of heated water for as long as the tap remains open,
providing instantaneous and continuous "on demand" hot
water.
Once the tap in the house is closed, the unit immediately shuts
down and no longer consumes energy.
Unlike a conventional tank-type water
heater, the ThermElite heaters do not
cycle through "heating and cooling"
like a standby tank heater that adds to gas bills when you don't need hot
water. You only pay for the hot water that you use - not store.
